We are delighted to have completed an innovative lighting project in The Combination Room of St John’s College Cambridge. The scheme involves emergency lighting to this unique dining room which is otherwise only lit with candles placed in C 17th silver wall sconces.
With no new fixings being allowed into the majority of the building fabric, the new scheme uses carefully adapted bracketry for the window drapes and other fixtures and fittings for the attachment of miniature spotlights which are unseen – except when energised as part of an emergency scenario.
We hope to be have photographs to show key features of the scheme shortly.
